This scholarship supports Master of Learning Intervention (Deaf Education) students to develop specialist skills and knowledge to become a teacher of the deaf. The scholarship is worth up to $30,000 in total across the two-year duration of the course.
Applicants with an interest in the education of students who are deaf/hard of hearing in Victoria are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.

All scholarship offers will be made under the condition that applicants commit to commence their Master of Learning Intervention (Deaf Education) studies at the University of Melbourne in Semester 1, 2025.
Benefits
The successful applicant will receive a scholarship valued at $30,000. This will be paid in twice annual instalments over the duration of the course.
Selection Criteria
- Evidence of strong teaching practice
- A strong interest in working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Knowledge of quality inclusive learning and teaching practices and differentiation
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, colleagues and parents
- Relevant professional teaching experience will be regarded positively.
